Deformation mechanisms in a TiNi shape memory alloy during cyclic loading [PDF]
The deformation mechanisms governing the cyclic stress-strain behaviour of a TiNi shape memory alloy were investigated in this work. To understand the development of these mechanisms during cyclic loading, three low-cycle fatigue tests were performed and

Nonlinear Radial Consolidation Analysis of Soft Soil with Vertical Drains under Cyclic Loadings
This paper presents analytical solutions for nonlinear radial consolidation of soft soil with vertical drains under various cyclic loadings. By considering the nonlinear variations of compressibility and permeability expressed by the logarithm relations (

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Relationship between ae signal strength and absolute energy in determining damage classification of concrete structures [PDF]
The most efficient tools in real monitoring system is acoustic emission (AE). This technique can be used to identify the damage classifications in RC structure.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Post-Cyclic Drained Shear Behaviour of Fujian Sand under Various Loading Conditions
In offshore engineering, the sand beneath an embankment may be subjected to traffic loads, resulting in a series of engineering issues. The behaviour of the sand beneath the embankment may change under a long-term traffic load. A series of drained cyclic
