Regioselective Three-Component Reaction of Pyridine N-Oxides, Acyl Chlorides, and Cyclic Ethers [PDF]

open access: yesOrganic Letters, 2017
A novel three-component reaction of pyridine N-oxides, acyl chlorides, and cyclic ethers is described. Treatment of an electron-deficient pyridine N-oxide with an acyl chloride in the presence of a cyclic ether at 25-50 °C leads to a substituted pyridine as a single regioisomer in up to 58% isolated yield.

Iodine-Catalyzed Radical C–H Amination of Nonaromatic Imidazole Oxides: Access to Cyclic α‑Aminonitrones [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
A straightforward cross-dehydrogenative coupling approach to incorporate alicyclic amino residues into the structure of model cyclic aldonitrones, 2H-imidazole oxides, is reported. The elaborated C(sp2)–H functionalization is achieved by employing cyclic

[3+3]-Annulation of Cyclic Nitronates with Vinyl Diazoacetates: Diastereoselective Synthesis of Partially Saturated [1,2]Oxazino[2,3-b][1,2]oxazines and Their Base-Promoted Ring Contraction to Pyrrolo[1,2-b][1,2]oxazine Derivatives

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
A rhodium(II)-catalyzed reaction of cyclic nitronates (5,6-dihydro-4H-1,2-oxazine N-oxides) with vinyl diazoacetates proceeds as a [3+3]-annulation producing bicyclic unsaturated nitroso acetals (4a,5,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-[1,2]oxazino[2,3-b][1,2]oxazines ...

Sulfonamide−Pyridine-N-oxide Cocrystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Hydrogen-bond motifs for the supramolecular synthesis of sulfonamide−pyridine-N-oxide complexes were derived from the analysis of cocrystal structures of aryl sulfonamides and pyridine-N-oxides.

Rhodium-Based Catalysts: An Impact of the Support Nature on the Catalytic Cyclohexane Ring Opening

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2023
Because of the growing demand for high-quality fuels, the light cycle oil fraction improvement including cetane number improvement is important. The main way to reach this improvement is the ring opening of cyclic hydrocarbons, and a highly effective ...

Nanolayered manganese oxides: insights from inorganic electrochemistry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Nanolayered Mn oxides are among the important Mn-based catalysts for water oxidation. Mn(II), (III) and (IV) ions are present in the structure, and, thus, the electrochemistry of the solid is very complicated.

Cyclic cohomology after the excision theorem of Cuntz and Quillen [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The excision theorem of Cuntz and Quillen established the existence of a six term exact sequence in the bivariant periodic cyclic cohomology HP*(–,–) associated with an arbitrary algebra extension 0 ? S ? P ? Q ? 0.
