Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

The Role of Asynchronous Bond Formation in the Diastereoselective Epoxidation of Cyclic Enol Ethers: A Density Functional Theory Study [PDF]
Density functional theory (DFT) (Becke3LYP functional and the D95** basis set) was used to study the influence of substitution on the dimethyldioxirane epoxidation reaction of six- and seven-membered cyclic enol ethers.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Occurrence and structure of cyclic Enterobacterial Common Antigen in Escherichia coli O157:H− [PDF]
Two cyclic forms of the Enterobacterial Common Antigen were isolated from Escherichia coli O157:H−. These antigenic determinants were purified from the biomass through extensive chemical, enzymatic and chromatographic procedures whereas MALDI MS ...

Synthesis and properties of novel star-shaped oligofluorene conjugated systems with BODIPY cores
Star-shaped conjugated systems with varying oligofluorene arm length and substitution patterns of the central BODIPY core have been synthesised, leading to two families of compounds, T-B1–T-B4 and Y-B1–Y-B4, with T- and Y-shaped motifs, respectively ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

In this study, digital simulations were performed for cyclic voltammograms (CV) obtained at different scan rates (0.2 to 1.0 V/s) for the oxidatively-promoted CO-substitution reaction by PPh3 in the bimetallic FvCo2(CO)4,1, in CH2Cl2/0.05 M [NBu4][B(C6F5)

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...
