Synthesis of Tricyclic Precursors of Cyclitols
Synlett, 2014Stereoselective syntheses of three tricyclic cyclohexenones are described. These compounds were conceived as novel precursors of synthetic conduritols, quercitols, and inositols because they allow diastereoselective C=O reductions, C=C osmylations, and C=C epoxidations to be performed.

Cyclitols from Croton celtidifolius
Phytochemistry, 1984Abstract Croton celtidifolius has been found to contain 1 l -1- O -methyl- myo -inositol, neo -inositol and sitosterol. Structure of 1 l -1- O -methyl- myo -inositol pentaacetate, elaborated by NMR decoupling technique, is described.
