We report the synthesis and characterization of a sulfated prism[5]arene host (Prism[5]MaxQ). Prism[5]MaxQ displays ultrahigh binding affinity (Ka up to 1012 M−1) toward hydrophobic (di)cations in phosphate‐buffered saline (PBS). The work positions Prism[5]MaxQ as a new member of the family of ultrahigh‐affinity hosts poised for use as a sequestrant in

Carba‐closo‐dodecaborates as Superchaotropic Anions
The singly charged boron cluster anion CB11H12– forms strong inclusion complexes with cyclodextrins, interacts strongly with nonionic polymers, and serves as an effective transmembrane carrier, positioning itself as the smallest superchaotropic anion known to date. .

Linker length regulates the self‐assembly of rigid sphere–rod amphiphiles. Long linkers enable rigid sphere–rod molecules to undergo solvent‐dependent conformational switching between I‐ and T‐shaped states, driving morphological transitions of the assemblies from striped spherical structures to onion‐like structures.

N‐Sulfonyl Azalevoglucosan: A Versatile Platform for the Synthesis of Polysubstituted Piperidines
Gain by strain: The synthesis of a levoglucosan analog, in which the pyranose oxygen has been replaced by a nitrogen, allows navigation on the piperidine ring to iteratively install functional groups at C1, C2, C3, C4, and C6 positions using simple experimental protocols with minimal protecting group manipulation.

Thermophoresis of cyclodextrins and cyclodextrin-drug-complexes
The behaviour of biomolecules in a temperature gradient, known as thermodiffusion, changes when a ligand binds. In recent years, this effect has been used to gain detailed information on binding dynamics, although the physicochemical processes are still unclear [1].
