AbstractThe pharmacokinetics of valproic acid (VPA) and three structural analogs, octanoic acid (OA), cyclohexanecarboxylic acid (CCA), and 1‐methyl‐1‐cyclohexanecarboxylic acid (MCCA), were examined in female Sprague‐Dawley rats. All four carboxylic acids evidenced dose‐dependent disposition.

AbstractA description is given of the synthesis of dimeric α‐nitrosocyclohexanecarboxylic acid (III). This acid provides the first example of the hitherto unknown class of α‐nitrosocarboxylic acids. It is shown that III is not an intermediate in the nitrosodecarboxylation of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid to caprolactam.

Abstract Phoslactomycins (PLMs) A–F, produced by actinomycetes are polyketide-type antibiotics derived from a hydroxycyclohexanecarboxylic acid or a cyclohexanecarboxylic acid starter unit.
