4-[(4-Methylbenzenesulfonamido)methyl]cyclohexanecarboxylic acid [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2011
The title compound, C(15)H(21)NO(4)S, crystallized with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit in which the dihedral angles between the mean planes of the benzene and cyclohexane rings are 78.3 (2) and 67.6 (2)°. The substituents of the cyclohexyl rings are in equatorial orientations.

Cyclohexanecarboxylic acid degradation with simultaneous nitrate removal by Marinobacter sp. SJ18

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Pollution Research, 2022
Abstract Naphthenic acid (NA), a new kind of toxic pollutants, is labeled as the potential threat to human health. However, the transformations of NAs in marine environments are still unclear. In this study, the characteristics and pathways of cyclohexylcarboxylic acid (CHCA) biodegradation were explored in the presence of nitrate.

Diversity oriented biosynthesis via accelerated evolution of modular gene clusters. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Erythromycin, avermectin and rapamycin are clinically useful polyketide natural products produced on modular polyketide synthase multienzymes by an assembly-line process in which each module of enzymes in turn specifies attachment of a particular ...

Group V Secreted Phospholipase A2 Induces the Release of Proangiogenic and Antiangiogenic Factors by Human Neutrophils [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Secreted phospholipases A2 (sPLA2s) are extracellular enzymes that catalyze the release of free fatty acids and lysophospholipids from membrane phospholipids and also bind to different receptors (e.g., PLA2R1 or integrins).

A Snapshot, Using a Multi-Omic Approach, of the Metabolic Cross-Talk and the Dynamics of the Resident Microbiota in Ripening Cheese Inoculated with Listeria innocua

open access: yesFoods
Raw milk cheeses harbor complex microbial communities. Some of these microorganisms are technologically essential, but undesirable microorganisms can also be present.

Effective degradation of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid by visible LED driven photo-Fenton [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
This work explores the feasibility of visible LEDs (λ: 400–800 nm) used in photo-Fenton for the degradation of a 50 mg/L cyclohexanecarboxylic acid (CHA) as model naphthenic acid present in process wastewater from the oil sands industry. The influence of

Bioactivity of ethanolic and hexanic extracts of Annona montana Macfad. in the control of Aphis craccivoraKoch (Hemiptera: Aphididae)

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical
The use of synthetic insecticides to control pests in agriculture may negatively affect the environment, human health, and contribute to the emergence of resistant pest populations.

ASMPKS: an analysis system for modular polyketide synthases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Background Polyketides are secondary metabolites of microorganisms with diverse biological activities, including pharmacological functions such as antibiotic, antitumor and agrochemical properties. Polyketides are synthesized by serialized reactions of a

Faecal and urine metabolites, but not gut microbiota, may predict response to low FODMAP diet in irritable bowel syndrome [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
BackgroundThe low FODMAP diet (LFD) leads to clinical response in 50%–80% of patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It is unclear why only some patients respond.AimsTo determine if differences in baseline faecal microbiota or faecal and urine ...
