Contour Parametrization via Anisotropic Mean Curvature Flows
We present a new implementation of anisotropic mean curvature flow for contour recognition. Our procedure couples the mean curvature flow of planar closed smooth curves, with an external field from a potential of point-wise charges.

Abstract Recent molecular studies have advanced our knowledge of the taxonomic diversity and generic placement of the slender stonebashers, previously placed in the genus Hippopotamyrus, in southern Africa. These fishes were recently transferred to the genus Heteromormyrus whose range encompasses the Kwanza, Kunene, Okavango, Zambezi, Pungwe and Buzi ...

Néel-type skyrmion lattice with confined orientation in the polar magnetic semiconductor GaV4S8 [PDF]
Following the early prediction of the skyrmion lattice (SkL)—a periodic array of spin vortices—it has been observed recently in various magnetic crystals mostly with chiral structure.

Trajectory planning and control of bionic dual‐arm underwater robotic manipulators (BDA‐URMs) are highly challenging due to the complex interactions between the manipulator’s base, its dual arms, and the nonlinear underwater dynamics. This study proposes a novel hybrid controller to enhance trajectory tracking and control of a BDA‐URM.

Simulation Analysis of Meshing Characteristic for Cycloid Meshing Drive of RV Reducer
The cycloid pin wheel drive is essential to RV reducer. It is the basic point to determine the contact stiffness of cycloid and pin wheel. The equivalent contact stiffness is calculated based on Hertz contact theory.

Base reaction optimization of redundant manipulators for space applications [PDF]
One of the problems associated with redundant manipulators which were proposed for space applications is that the reactions transmitted to the base of the manipulator as a result of the motion of the manipulator will cause undesirable effects on the ...
