Immunoaffinity Purification and Characterization of Cyclodextrin Glycosyltransferase from Bacillus circulans A11 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The purified IgG fraction of anti-CGTase was coupled to CNBr-activated Sepharose 4B and used as immunoaffinity gel to purify CGTase from Bacillus circulans A11. The enzyme was successfully purified to approximately 155 folds with a 45% yield and specific

Polysaccharide-synthesizing Glycosyltransferases and Carbohydrate Binding Modules: the case of Starch Synthase III [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Glycosyltransferases (GTs) are a ubiquitous group of enzymes that catalyze the transfer of sugar moieties from activated donor molecules to specific acceptor molecules, forming glycosidic bonds.

Purification and characterization of a thermostable cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase from Thermoanaerobacter sp. P4 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase (CGTase, EC 2.4.1.19) from a thermophilic anaerobic bacterium, Thermoanaerobacter sp. P4, was purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation followed by α-cyclodextrin epoxy activated-sepharose 6B column chromatography ...

Spectrophotometric determination of cyclization activity of .BETA.-cyclodextrin-forming cyclomaltodextrin glucanotransferase.

open access: yesJournal of the Japanese Society of Starch Science, 1987
A quick and reliable assay was developed to measure the cyclization activity of β-cyclodextrin-forming cyclomaltodextrin glucanotransferase. Beta-cyclodextrin formed in the reaction was measured directly in situ through as a complex with phenolphthalein. Using this assay, it was shown that the crude enzyme from an alkalophilic Bacillus sp. (ATCC 21783)

Molecular identification of a cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase-producinmicroorganism and phylogenetic assessment of enzymatic activities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Cyclodextrin glycosyltransferases (CGTases) are important enzymes in the biotechnology field because they catalyze starch conversion into cyclodextrins and linear oligosaccharides, which are used in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

Initial screening of fermentation variables for the production of novel Cyclomaltodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase) from local isolated Bacillus stearothermophilus HR1

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents results on the effect of fermentation variables on CGTase production from Bacillus stearothermophilus HR1. Initial screening of temperature, pH and agitation speed was determined using a 2-level full factorial design.
