The Novel Viral Non‐Coding RNA LMP2A‐IT1 Promotes the Lytic Replication of EBV
Decades after its discovery, EBV's genome still harbours unannotated “dark matter”. LMP2A‐IT1, a novel EBV‐encoded transcript identified in this work, is strongly upregulated during lytic replication and promotes BZLF1 expression, likely through activation of inflammatory responses, thereby enhancing viral propagation in a self‐reinforcing positive ...

Modulation of mitochondrial redox signaling by furapyrrodole activates CYB5R3 and suppresses Notch signaling, unlocking the regenerative potential of endogenous neural progenitor cells. This approach promotes neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and remyelination, thereby improving neuronal function in a mouse model of multiple sclerosis and identifying ...

COX14 Variants Are Associated With Mitochondrial Complex IV Deficiency Nuclear Type 10 (MC4DN10)
ABSTRACT COX14 encodes a transmembrane protein essential for cytochrome c oxidase (COX) complex assembly. A homozygous missense variant in COX14 was reported in three siblings from a single consanguineous family with severe, fatal infantile mitochondrial complex IV deficiency nuclear type 10 (MC4DN10; MIM# 619053).

Structure of bovine cytochrome oxidase
The structure of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase (EC 1.9.3.1) is being very actively studied. Although a variety of different methods are used to study the isolated [l-3] as well as the membrane- bound [4,5] enzyme, no conclusive results on the quaternary structure have been presented.

Patient‐Derived Fibroblasts as a Clinically Relevant Model of Kearns–Sayre Syndrome
Objective Kearns–Sayre syndrome (KSS) is characterized by single large‐scale mitochondrial DNA deletions and by severe early‐onset clinical manifestations with neurological involvement. Reliable disease models, as well as validated biomarkers or effective treatments, are lacking.

Structure and Biosynthesis of Mangotoxin Produced by the Plant Pathogen Pseudomonas syringae
The structure of mangotoxin remained elusive for over two decades. Here, mangotoxin was isolated from the native producer, Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae, and was determined to be an alkyne‐containing dipeptide. Mangotoxin inhibited the growth of multidrug‐resistant human pathogen Klebsiella pneumoniae.

Reactions of Oxygenated Cytochrome Oxidase
Abstract It is clear from previous work that the oxygenated form of cytochrome oxidase is not a mixture of oxidized and reduced forms, and that the oxygenated form is spectrally indistinguishable from the hydrogen peroxide derivative of cytochrome oxidase, but that it can be obtained under conditions which preclude the generation of stoichiometric ...

New methods for the histochemical and cytochemical demonstrtion of cytochrome c oxidase and of cytochrome c- cytochrome oxidase system [PDF]
New histochemical and cytochemical methods for the demonstration of cytochrome c oxidase and of cytochrome c-cytochrome oxidase system are described, using neotetrazolium chloride in the presence of p phenylenediamine with or without additional ...
