Dimethylnitrosamine demethylation by reconstituted liver microsomal cytochrome P-450 enzyme system [PDF]
Oxidative demethylation of dimethylnitosamine was studied with both reconstituted and unresolved liver microsomal cytochrome P-450 enzyme systems from rats and hamsters. Proteinase treatment of liver microsomal preparations yielded cytochrome P-450 particulate fractions.

Effects of heme oxygenase isozymes on Leydig cells steroidogenesis [PDF]
In the present study, we demonstrate the expression of heme oxygenase (HO) isozymes, HO-1 and HO-2 (listed as HMOX1 and HMOX2 in the MGI Database), in MA-10 Leydig tumor cells and its effect on steroidogenesis. The well-known HO inducer, hemin, increased

Induction of Microsomal Liver Enzymes by Silymarin in Experimental Animals
Background: previous researches showed that the hepatoprotective effect of silymarin was through inhibition of cytochrome p450- system (e.g. protection against Amanita toxin), in addition to protection from free radicals generated by this enzymatic ...
