Removing unwanted variation with CytofRUV to integrate multiple CyTOF datasets [PDF]
Mass cytometry (CyTOF) is a technology that has revolutionised single-cell biology. By detecting over 40 proteins on millions of single cells, CyTOF allows the characterisation of cell subpopulations in unprecedented detail. However, most CyTOF studies require the integration of data from multiple CyTOF batches usually acquired on different days and ...

Regulatory T-Cell Phenotyping Using CyTOF
Regulatory T cells are an important component of the immune system that plays a key role in maintaining homeostasis. Identification of distinct regulatory T cell subsets is essential to understand their function. Mass cytometry or CyTOF is a technology that enables the simultaneous measurement of up to 50 markers in single cells by using antibodies ...

Preparation of Human Chondrocytes for Profiling Using Cytometry by Time-of-flight (cyTOF)
Single-cell technologies have allowed high-resolution profiling of tissues and thus a deeper understanding of tissue homeostasis and disease heterogeneity. Understanding this heterogeneity can be especially important for tailoring treatments in a patient-specific manner.

Human monocyte subsets have traditionally been defined based on expression of CD14 and CD16 into classical, nonclassical, and intermediate monocytes. Using CyTOF, Thomas et al1 identified CCR2, CD36, HLA-DR, and CD11c as additional cell surface markers that provide better resolution of intermediate and nonclassical monocyte subsets.

Cytomulate: accurate and efficient simulation of CyTOF data
Abstract Recently, many analysis tools have been devised to offer insights into data generated via Cytometry by time-of-flight (CyTOF). However, objective evaluations of these methods remain absent as most evaluations are conducted against real data where the ground truth is generally unknown.

The single-cell platform CyTOF enables detection of significant changes in renal cells, especially in subsets of immune cells in ischemic human kidneys. Endogenous pro-repair cell types in RAS warrant future study for potential immune therapy.

High-Parameter Immune Profiling with CyTOF [PDF]
Mass cytometry, or CyTOF, is a useful technology for high-parameter single-cell phenotyping, especially from suspension cells such as blood or PBMC. It is particularly appealing to monitor the systemic immune changes that could accompany cancer immunotherapy.
