Studies on the internal structure of the cytoplasmic granules
The macromolecular components, constituting mitochondria, were analysed electrophoretically and turbidimetrically and following results were obtained.1. Macromolecules, extracted by acid or alkaline media, were analysed electrophoretically. It seemed probable that there should be little basic proteins which were in salt-like combination with other ...

Mechanistic insights from additive‐assisted plastic degradation guide the design of environmentally adaptive textile fibers. Functional additives enhance oxidative, hydrolytic, enzymatic, and microbial degradation pathways. Translating these strategies requires control of fiber architecture, additive distribution, and environmental interactions ...

Characterization of the extracellular matrix from human and dog umbilical cords
Abstract The extracellular matrix is important for maintaining tissue morphogenesis and homeostasis; it can also be used as a biomaterial for the production of biological scaffolds. Particularly, the umbilical cord has shown potential in the production of scaffolds for small‐diameter vessels.

Abstract This study investigated the physiological and morphological adaptations of the liver of the carnivorous fish Pygocentrus nattereri (piranha) in response to seasonal variations (dry and rainy seasons) in the Brazilian Pantanal. The objective was to describe how the liver, a central organ in metabolic regulation, responds to environmental ...

Abstract Stenopodidea represents one of the basal lineages within Pleocyemata, yet the male reproductive system (MRS) of this group remains poorly understood, with limited information available regarding its morphology and function. This study provides the first detailed description of the MRS in four stenopodidean shrimp species from two families ...
