Gauge fields and D-branes [PDF]

open access: greenJournal of Geometry and Physics, 1998
We prove that self-dual gauge fields in type I superstring theory are equivalent to configurations of Dirichlet 5-branes, by showing that the world-sheet theory of a Dirichlet 1-brane moving in a background of 5-branes includes an ``ADHM sigma model.'' This provides an explicit construction of the equivalent self-dual gauge field.

D-branes on K3-fibrations [PDF]

open access: greenNuclear Physics B, 2000
B-type D-branes are constructed on two different K3-fibrations over IP_1 using boundary conformal field theory at the rational Gepner points of these models. The microscopic CFT charges are compared with the Ramond charges of D-branes wrapped on holomorphic cycles of the corresponding Calabi-Yau manifold.

D-branes in AdS3 × S3 × 𝕋4 at k = 1 and their holographic duals [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
String theory on AdS3× S3× 𝕋4 with minimal k = 1 NS-NS flux can be described in terms of a free field worldsheet theory in the hybrid formalism. We construct various D-branes of this string theory and calculate their associated cylinder amplitudes.

D-Branes in Para-Hermitian Geometries

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
We introduce T-duality invariant versions of D-branes in doubled geometry using a global covariant framework based on para-Hermitian geometry and metric algebroids.

A novel solution to the gravitino problem

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
In a general phenomenological model with local supersymmetry, the amount of massive gravitinos produced in early universe tends to violate the known dark matter density bound by many orders of magnitude.

D-branes on the quintic [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2000
We study D-branes on the quintic CY by combining results from several directions: general results on holomorphic curves and vector bundles, stringy geometry and mirror symmetry, and the boundary states in Gepner models recently constructed by Recknagel and Schomerus, to begin sketching a picture of D-branes in the stringy regime.

Aspects of categorical symmetries from branes: SymTFTs and generalized charges [PDF]

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2023
Recently it has been observed that branes in geometric engineering and holography have a striking connection with generalized global symmetries. In this paper we argue that branes, in a certain topological limit, not only furnish the symmetry generators,

Super D-branes [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1997
We present a manifestly Lorentz invariant, spacetime supersymmetric, and `$ $-invariant' worldvolume action for all type II Dirichlet p-branes, $p\le9$, in a general type II supergravity background, including massive backgrounds in the IIA case. The $p=0,2$ cases are rederived from D=11.
