Expression of d-psicose-3-epimerase from Clostridium bolteae and Dorea sp. and whole-cell production of d-psicose in Bacillus subtilis [PDF]
Abstract Purpose d-psicose-3-epimerase (DPEase) catalyses the isomerisation of d-fructose to d-psicose, a rare sugar in nature with unique nutritional and biological functions. An effective industrial-scale method is needed for d-psicose production.

Crystal structure of β-d,l-psicose
The title compound, C6H12O6, a C-3 position epimer of fructose, was crystallized from an aqueous solution of equimolar mixture of d- and l-psicose (1,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxyhexan-2-one, ribo-2-hexulose, allulose), and it was confirmed that d-psicose (or l ...

Construction of hyperthermostable d-allulose 3-epimerase from Arthrobacter globiformis M30 using the sequence information from Arthrobacter psychrolactophilus. [PDF]
d‐Allulose can be produced from d‐fructose by d‐allulose 3‐epimerase. Based on sequence homology information, we successfully engineered thermostable mutants with the protein engineering method. By integrating positive mutations, we constructed an enzyme that exhibits hyperthermostability without a loss in the activity.

Potent Inhibitory Effects of D-tagatose on the Acid Production and Water-insoluble Glucan Synthesis of Streptococcus mutans GS5 in the Presence of Sucrose [PDF]
We examined and compared the inhibitory effects of D-tagatose on the growth, acid production, and water-insoluble glucan synthesis of GS5, a bacterial strain of Streptococcus mutans, with those of xylitol, D-psicose, L-psicose and L-tagatose.

Reaction Engineering and Comparison of Electroenzymatic and Enzymatic ATP Regeneration Systems
An electrochemically coupled ATP regeneration by pyruvate oxidase and acetate kinase for the phosphorylation of mevalonate was established and expanded by a polyphosphate kinase. The reaction was characterized and compared with other ATP regenerating systems in terms of the phosphate donor properties and biocatalytic metrics.

Gene Cloning, Structural Prediction, and Prokaryotic Expression of Agrobacterium tumefaciens D-Psicose-3-Epimerase(根癌农杆菌D-阿洛酮糖-3-差向异构酶基因克隆、结构预测及原核表达) [PDF]
D-Psicose can be converted from D-fructose catalyzed by D-psicose-3-epimerase. To realize the heterologous expression of D-psicose-3-epimerase (DPEase), the primers were designed to clone and isolate the gene.

Does virulence assessment of Vibrio anguillarum using sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) larvae correspond with genotypic and phenotypic characterization? [PDF]
Background: Vibriosis is one of the most ubiquitous fish diseases caused by bacteria belonging to the genus Vibrio such as Vibrio (Listonella) anguillarum. Despite a lot of research efforts, the virulence factors and mechanism of V. anguillarum are still
