Stakeholder capitalism, corporate governance and firm value [PDF]
We consider the advantages and disadvantages of stakeholder-oriented firms that are concerned with employees and suppliers as well as shareholders compared to shareholder-oriented firms. Societies with stakeholder-oriented firms have higher prices, lower

Frictional drag between quantum wells mediated by phonon exchange [PDF]
We use the Kubo formalism to evaluate the contribution of acoustic phonon exchange to the frictional drag between nearby two-dimensional electron systems. In the case of free phonons, we find a divergent drag rate ($\tau_{D}^{-1}$).

Leucyl and cystinyl aminopeptidase (LNPEP/oxytocinase) is an enzyme that metabolizes oxytocin in serum and tissues. The presence of oxytocin/neurophysin I (OXT), oxytocin and LNPEP and their relationship to other genes is unknown in the equine conceptus.

Properties of the Neutrino Mixing Matrix
For neutrino mixing we propose to use the parameter set $X_{i}$ $(=|V_{ei}|^{2})$ and $\Omega_{i}$ $(=\epsilon_{ijk}|V_{\mu j}|^{2}|V_{\tau k}|^{2})$, with two constraints.

What's New? Oncolytic viruses are a promising immunotherapeutic approach against many malignancies. However, it is unclear whether repeated doses have improved therapeutic value or may trigger greater side effects, especially in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma whose liver is chronically damaged.

Immunomodulation of the Prostate Tumor Microenvironment Following Inorganic Arsenic Exposure
ABSTRACT The tumor microenvironment (TME) influences prostate cancer (PCa) progression through stromal and immune interactions. Adipose‐derived mesenchymal stromal cells (ASCs) modulate immune tone, while inorganic arsenic (iAs), a widespread toxicant, is linked to immune suppression and carcinogenesis.

Exponential localization of hydrogen-like atoms in relativistic quantum electrodynamics
We consider two different models of a hydrogenic atom in a quantized electromagnetic field that treat the electron relativistically. The first one is a no-pair model in the free picture, the second one is given by the semi-relativistic Pauli-Fierz ...

ABSTRACT Gold has been used for centuries in both ornamental and medicinal contexts. More recently, gold compounds, containing ions or nanoparticles, have attracted attention for their anti‐inflammatory, anticancer, and diagnostic applications. Therefore, concerns about systemic toxicity and biodistribution have prompted investigations into the ...

Detection of expressional changes induced by intrauterine growth restriction in the developing rat mammary gland via exploratory pathways analysis. [PDF]
Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is thought to lead to fetal programming that in turn contributes to developmental changes of many organs postnatally.
