Decays of bottom mesons emitting pseudoscalar and tensor mesons in ISGW II model [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D82:094014,2010, 2010
In this paper, we investigate phenomenologically two-body weak decays of the bottom mesons emitting pseudoscalar and tensor mesons. Decay amplitudes are obtained using the factorization scheme in the improved ISGW II model. Branching ratios for the CKM-favored and CKM-suppressed decays are calculated.

Quark-nucleon dynamics and Deep Virtual Compton Scattering [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D82:014006,2010, 2010
We consider deeply virtual Compton scattering and deep inelastic scattering in presence of Regge exchanges that are part of the non-perturbative quark-nucleon amplitude. In particular we discuss contribution from the Pomeron exchange and demonstrate how it leads to Regge scaling of the Compton amplitude. Comparison with HERA data is given.

About flavor, spin and color [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D82:056005,2010, 2010
Chiral symmetry breaking (restoration) for SU(N) gauge theories is a topic of great interest and not yet fully explained. We consider the phenomenon as a collective spin effect and determine its behavior in terms of the number of flavors, N_f.

A regularization of the hamiltonian constraint compatible with the spinfoam dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D82:044007,2010, 2010
We introduce a new regularization for Thiemann's Hamiltonian constraint. The resulting constraint can generate the 1-4 Pachner moves and is therefore more compatible with the dynamics defined by the spinfoam formalism. We calculate its matrix elements and observe the appearence of the 15j Wigner symbol in these.

Enabling or Limiting Cognitive Flexibility? Evidence of Demand for Moral Commitment

open access: yesThe American Economic Review, 2023
Moral behavior is more prevalent when individuals cannot easily distort their beliefs self-servingly. Do individuals seek to limit or enable their ability to distort beliefs? How do these choices affect behavior?

Information gaps in the market for social services: retirement homes in the Czech Republic

open access: yesReview of Economic Perspectives, 2019
The research address a partial issue of market failure in the form of information asymmetry. Within the public sector, social services, together with health services, belong to typical sectors where the information superiority of supply against demand is

Alianzas y política: un juego entre agentes civiles y armados

open access: yesLecturas de Economía, 2009
Uno de los propósitos de los agentes armados en guerras irregulares es reemplazar al Estado en el monopolio de la violencia y en la protección de la población civil.

On the geometry of loop quantum gravity on a graph [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D82:044018,2010, 2010
We discuss the meaning of geometrical constructions associated to loop quantum gravity states on a graph. In particular, we discuss the "twisted geometries" and derive a simple relation between these and Regge geometries.

Democracy, Lobbying and Economics

open access: yesReview of Economic Perspectives, 2019
The paper deals with the issue of lobbying, defined as a democratic means of promoting interests. The text tries to find answers to the problems in the current economic theory.

Geometric Representation of the generator of duality in massless and massive $p-$form field theories [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D82:105013,2010, 2010
We study the invariance under duality transformations in massless and massive $p-$form field theories and obtain the Noether generators of the infinitesimal transformations that correspond to this symmetry. These generators are realized in geometrical representations that generalize the Loop Representation of the Maxwell field, allowing for a ...
