Daily Heat Load Variation in Swedish District Heating Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
If daily heat load variations could be eliminated in district heating-systems, it would make the operation of the district heating system less costly and more competitive . There would be several advantages in the operation such as: Less use of expensive

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Load Estimation for Distribution Feeder Monitoring & Management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Load Estimation is an indispensable tool for distribution system studies, since knowledge of load profiles along the feeder has direct influence on system planning and operation activities.

Optimal distributed generation allocation in radial distribution systems considering customer-wise dedicated feeders and load patterns

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2015
Distribution system planners usually provide dedicated feeders to its different class of customers, each of whom has its own characteristic load pattern which varies hourly and seasonally.

Energy management and economic analysis of multiple energy storage systems in solar PV/PEMFC hybrid power systems

open access: yesEnergy Conversion and Economics, 2020
This study proposes an energy management system (EMS) to manage a standalone hybrid power system (HPS) comprising solar photovoltaic (PV), proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), and a battery energy storage. The battery and a hydrogen storage system

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

In-season monotony, strain and acute/chronic workload of perceived exertion, global positioning system running based variables between player positions of a top elite soccer team

open access: yesBMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation, 2021
Background The interpretation of the load variations across a period seems important to control the weekly progression or variation of the load, or to identify within- micro and mesocycle variations.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
