July Mean Daily Maximum Temperatures

open access: yes, 2010
The map shows the mean daily maximum temperatures for July. Maximum temperatures in July are above freezing across all of Canada except for high elevations on Ellesmere Island. Maximum temperatures exceed 25ºC in the valley bottoms of southern British Columbia, across the southern Prairies, in southern Ontario and along the St.

Forecasting Daily Maximum Temperature of Chennai using Nonlinear Prediction Approach

open access: yesIndian Journal of Science and Technology, 2016
In recent years numerous research were made to are expecting the weather especially the most temperature of a location. The urban regions are the maximum vulnerable regions which can be tormented by the increase in the temperature. The prevailing paper is geared toward quantifying the trade inside the surface air temperature at the most populated ...

The potential of artificial neural network technique in daily and monthly ambient air temperature prediction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Ambient air temperature prediction is of a concern in environment, industry and agriculture. The increase of average temperature results in natural disasters, higher energy consumption, damage to plants and animals and global warming.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Daily maximum and minimum temperature trends in a climate model

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2002
The recent observed global warming trend over land has been characterised by a faster warming at night, leading to a considerable decrease in the diurnal temperature range (DTR). Analysis of simulations of a climate model including observed increases in greenhouse gases and sulphate aerosols reveals a similar trend in the DTR of −0.2°C per century ...

Snowmelt Runoff Model in Japan [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
The preliminary Japanese snowmelt runoff model was modified so that all the input variables arc of the antecedent days and the inflow of the previous day is taken into account. A few LANDSAT images obtained in the past were effectively used to verify and

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

On forecasting daily summer maximum temperature at Madras

open access: yesMAUSAM, 1998
Forecasting schemes based on statistical techniques have been developed to forecast daily summer (March-May) maximum temperatures of Madras. A set of optimal number of predictors were chosen from a large number of parameters by employing stepwise forward screening.
