Measuring the dark matter velocity anisotropy in galaxy clusters [PDF]
The Universe contains approximately 6 times more dark matter than normal baryonic matter, and a directly observed fundamental difference between dark matter and baryons would both be significant for our understanding of dark matter structures and provide

Neutrophil deficiency increases T cell numbers at the site of tissue injury in mice
In wild‐type mice, injury or acute inflammation induces neutrophil influx followed by macrophage accumulation. Mcl1ΔMyelo (neutrophil‐deficient) mice lack neutrophils, and in response to muscle injury show fewer macrophages and exhibit strikingly elevated T‐cell numbers, primarily non‐conventional “double‐negative” (DN) αβ and γδ T cells.

Constraining primordial black holes as dark matter using AMS-02 data
Primordial black holes (PBHs) are the plausible candidates for the cosmological dark matter. Theoretically, PBHs with masses $$M_{\textrm{PBH}}$$ M PBH in the range of $$4\times 10^{14}\sim 10^{17}\,\textrm{g}$$ 4 × 10 14 ∼ 10 17 g can emit sub-GeV ...

A new era in the search for dark matter [PDF]
There is a growing sense of ‘crisis’ in the dark-matter particle community, which arises from the absence of evidence for the most popular candidates for dark-matter particles—such as weakly interacting massive particles, axions and sterile neutrinos ...

The Cosmology of Composite Inelastic Dark Matter [PDF]
Composite dark matter is a natural setting for implementing inelastic dark matter - the O(100 keV) mass splitting arises from spin-spin interactions of constituent fermions.

We investigate a simple extension of the Standard Model where the baryon number is a local gauge symmetry and the cold dark matter in the Universe can be described by a fermionic field with baryon number. We refer to this scenario as "Baryonic Dark Matter''. The stability of the dark matter candidate is a natural consequence of the spontaneous breaking

The yeast mitoribosome assembly factor Rsm22 contains a [4Fe‐4S] cluster that is matured by the mitochondrial iron–sulfur cluster assembly (ISC) machinery. Defects in ISC components result in impaired mitochondrial protein synthesis due to a mitoribosome assembly defect.

A delayed 400 GeV photon from GRB 221009A and implication on the intergalactic magnetic field
Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory has detected 0.2 − 13 TeV emission of GRB 221009A within 2000 s since the trigger. Here we report the detection of a 400 GeV photon, without accompanying prominent low-energy emission, by Fermi Large Area ...
