Reduction of geomagnetically induced current impacts by optimized neutral point connections

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
Solar storms impact electrical power grids by causing quasi‐DC neutral point currents in transformers. These currents lead to half‐cycle saturation as well as other related and unwanted effects in the grid.

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Planar transformer isolated DC-DC Converter for Solid-State Transformer

open access: yes, 2020
The demand for high frequency, high power density and high efficiency on power converters has been increasing through the years. Solid state transformer (SST), which is typically formed by three stages, one being DC/AC inverter, which is controllable, one being medium-frequency transformer isolated converter and the other being AC/DC rectifier, has ...

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.
