Autonomic nervous system dysregulation in children with monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis
Abstract Aim To investigate the role of autonomic nervous system in subpopulations of children with enuresis. Methods We included 35 children with enuresis, divided in children with (17) and without nocturnal polyuria (18) and 43 healthy controls. For all participants hormones and neurotransmitters were measured.

Identification of protein kinase A signalling molecules in renal collecting ducts
Abstract figure legend Each A‐kinase anchoring protein (AKAP) separates protein kinase A (PKA) into specific compartments, such as the mitochondria, nucleus or intracellular vesicles, facilitating spatially restricted cAMP/PKA signalling to increase the specificity of the PKA substrate.

Population pharmacokinetic modeling of a desmopressin oral lyophilisate in growing piglets as a model for the pediatric population [PDF]
Desmopressin is used to treat primary nocturnal enuresis in children. Over the years, various formulations of desmopressin were commercialized of which the sublingual melt tablet is preferred in the pediatric population, despite the lack of full PK ...

Serum sodium level fluctuations following the resection of childhood‐onset craniopharyngioma

Intranasal application of vasopressin fails to elicit changes in brain immediate early gene expression, neural activity and behavioral performance of rats [PDF]
Intranasal administration has been widely used to investigate effects of the neuropeptides vasopressin and oxytocin on human behaviors and neurological disorders, but exactly what happens when these neuropeptides are administered intranasally is far from

Abstract Introduction Several well‐established clinical laboratory methods are available to measure von Willebrand factor (VWF) in plasma samples, but few data are available on their use for analysing recombinant VWF (rVWF). Aim To evaluate how clinical diagnostic laboratories analyse rVWF and plasma‐derived VWF (pdVWF) spiked in vitro into VWF ...
