Decay and termite resistance of phthaloylated wood
スギ辺材を無水フタル酸で化学修飾することによって得られたフタル化木材の耐朽性と耐蟻性を, アセチル化木材と比較しながら評価した。褐色腐朽菌オオウズラタケと白色腐朽菌カワラタケによる腐朽試験の結果, フタル化木材は, アセチル化木材よりも軽度な置換基導入で, 高い耐朽性を示すことが明らかとなり, その効果は特にオオウズラタケに対して顕著であった。このような高い耐朽性を付与するのに必要な置換基の分子構造の特徴を調べるために, フタル基と類似の構造を有する化学修飾木材を調製し, それらの耐朽性を調べた。その結果, 無水トリメリト酸がフタル化に匹敵する高い耐朽性を付与したのに対して, 無水安息香酸やcis-1, 2-シクロヘキサンジカルボン酸無水物では, 顕著な耐朽性が得られることはなく ...
