Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Functional group defect design in polymeric carbon nitride for photocatalytic application
Defects are conventionally considered as the active sites in heptazine-based polymer melon (also known as graphitic carbon nitride, g-C3N4) for photocatalysis and are rationally incorporated for improving the intrinsic photocatalytic ability. The rise of

The result of this paper is based on a book of \textit{J. A. Green} [Polynomial representations of \(GL_ n\) (1980; Zbl 0451.20037)]. If n and r are positive integers and \(\lambda\) a partition of r with at most n parts, then for each infinite field K Green defines a simple module \(M_{\lambda}\) for the Schur algebra \(S_ k(n,r)\).

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

AbstractThis paper determines much of the structure of blocks whose defect group is dihedral, semidihedral or generalised quaternion and which have either one or two simple modular representations (Brauer characters). It is shown that in the above circumstances there is only a very small number of possibilities for the Cartan matrix, decomposition ...
