Sertraline Treatment Can Mimic Niemann‐Pick Type C Biomarker Profile: A Diagnostic Pitfall

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oxysterols (cholestane‐3β,5α,6β‐triol and 7‐ketocholesterol) and N‐palmitoyl‐O‐phosphocholineserine (PPCS) are sensitive biomarkers for Niemann‐Pick disease type C (NPC) screening. However, false‐positive results occur, with a biomarker profile suggestive of NPC despite the absence of pathogenic variants in genes involved in NPC or ...

A New Design for Compact Size Wireless Power Transfer Applications Using Spiral Defected Ground Structures [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2018
In this article, a new wireless power transfer (WPT) design is proposed for improving the efficient of system. The suggested system contains two spiral defected ground structure (DGS) resonators coupled back-to-back.

Quasi-Static Analysis of Defected Ground Structure

open access: yesTENCON 2005 - 2005 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2005
A quasi-static equivalent circuit model of a dumbbell shaped defected ground structure (DGS) is developed. The equivalent circuit model is derived from the equivalent inductance and capacitance developed due to the perturbed returned current path on the ground and the narrow gap, respectively.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Filter Designs Based on Defected Ground Structures

open access: yes, 2022
This chapter concentrates on the filter structures using Defected Ground Structures (DGS). Initially, this chapter discusses the limitations of Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) structures and the development of DGS structure from EBG structure. DGS is an area of increasing interest in EBG technology.

A Serial Feeding Network with Defected Ground Structure

open access: yesJournal of Radars, 2014
A novel serial feeding network with Defected Ground Structure (DGS) is proposed in this paper. The stripline feed network uses multilayer board laminated structure and DGS on the surface. The output amplitude can be decided by the dimension of the DGS.

Thermoreflectance Detection of Point Defects Resulting from Focused Ion Beam Milling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Focused ion beam (FIB) milling is a common tool for nanoscale material processing, however irradiation damage, redeposition, and contamination can occur. We use several characterization tools to show FIB‐induced effects beyond 1 mm from the milled area.

Design of Electromagnetic Bandgap Structures in Glass Interposers Based on Dispersion Analysis for Signal and Power Integrity Improvement

open access: yesIEEE Access
This article proposes dispersion analysis for an efficient design of electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structures in glass interposers to suppress power/ground noise coupling. The proposed method considered design parameters such as patch, through glass via (
