The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

On the Non-Newtonian Fluid Equation with a Source Term and a Damping Term
A kind of non-Newtonian fluid equation with a damping term and a source term is considered. After giving a result of the existence, if the diffusion coefficient is degenerate on the boundary, the local stability of the weak solutions is established ...

Initial-boundary value problem for the time-fractional degenerate diffusion equation
In this paper the initial-boundary value problems for the one-dimensional linear time-fractional diffusion equations with the time-fractional derivative ∂ α t of order α ∈ (0, 1) in the variable t and time-degenerate diffusive coefficients t β with β ≥ 1

At low cell density, SETDB1 and YAP1 accumulate in the nucleus. As cell density increases, the Hippo pathway is gradually activated, and SETDB1 is associated with increased YAP1 phosphorylation. At high cell density, phosphorylated YAP1 is sequestered in the cytoplasm, while SETDB1 becomes polyubiquitinated and degraded by the ubiquitin–proteasome ...

In this article we introduce rather general notion of the stationary solution of the bistable equation which allows to treat discontinuous density dependent diffusion term with singularities and degenerations, as well as degenerate or non-Lipschitz ...

Gradient estimates for degenerate diffusion equations. I
SynopsisWe establish upper and lower bounds for various norms of solutions and their gradients for the equation ut = div (|∇u|m−1 ∇u) in ℝN in terms of the norms of the initial data. Based on the L∞ estimate of ∇u, we conclude that u(x, t) is Lipschitz continuous in space-time, for all t>0, whenever u(x,0) is in L1(ℝN).

This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Singular elliptic equations with directional diffusion
We investigate conditions for the existence and uniqueness of viscosity solutions of the Dirichlet problem for a degenerate elliptic equation describing a stationary diffusion, which may take place in a partial number of spatial directions, with a ...

Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Stability of Densities for Perturbed Degenerate Diffusions [PDF]
We study the sensitivity of the densities of some Kolmogorov like degenerate diffusion processes with respect to a perturbation of the coefficients of the non-degenerate component. Under suitable (quite sharp) assumptions we quantify how the pertubation of the SDE affects the density.
