A flexible, ultrathin multi‐channel microelectrode array (MEA) conformally integrated onto a curved slide‐well enables stable electrical interfacing with 3D cardiac organoids. The geometry‐guided self‐alignment allows simultaneous recording of extracellular field potentials and contractile motion from irregular, beating tissues.

Distribution of lactate dehydrogenase in healthy and degenerative canine stifle joint cartilage [PDF]
In dogs, degenerative joint diseases (DJD) have been shown to be associated with increased lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity in the synovial fluid. The goal of this study was to examine healthy and degenerative stifle joints in order to clarify the ...

Neuid: A Novel Neuron‐Enriched LncRNA that Connects Epigenetic Gene Silencing to Alzheimer's Disease
ABSTRACT The increasing evidence that non‐coding RNAs can become deregulated during pathogenesis is dramatically expanding the space for drug discovery beyond the protein‐coding genome. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as key regulators of cellular function, yet most remain uncharacterized.

Evaluating elbow osteoarthritis within the prehistoric Tiwanaku state using generalized estimating equations (GEE). [PDF]
OBJECTIVES:Studies of osteoarthritis (OA) in human skeletal remains can come with scalar problems. If OA measurement is noted as present or absent in one joint, like the elbow, results may not identify specific articular pathology data and the sample ...

A Soft Robotic Model for Simulating Heart Valve Disease and Cardiac Interventions
This paper introduces a fully synthetic fabrication methodology for a soft robotic, in‐vitro model of the left‐heart, complete with a functioning mitral valve apparatus. With a view towards patient‐specific modeling, we demonstrate physiological flow and pressure waveforms, tunable mitral valve function with clinical imaging compatibility, and its use ...

Relationship of the medial clavicular head to the manubrium in normal and symptomatic degenerated sternoclavicular joints [PDF]
Background: Clavicular prominence is common in patients with symptomatic degenerative sternoclavicular arthritis. It is unclear if this is caused by enlargement or subluxation of the clavicle.

Shoulder pain due to cervical radiculopathy: an underestimated long-term complication of herpes zoster virus reactivation? [PDF]
Purpose To evaluate if herpes zoster virus (HZV) reactivation may be considered in the aetiology of cervical radiculopathy. Methods The study group was composed of 110 patients (52 M-58F;mean age ± SD:46.5 ± 6.12; range:40-73) with a clinical ...
