On the approximation of integrable functions by some special matrix means of Fourier series

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2017
The results concerninig pointwise approximation and product of summability methods corresponding to the theorems of Xh. Z. Krasniqi [Poincare J. Anal. Appl., 2014, 1, 1-8] and W. Łenski and B. Szal [Math. Slovaca, 2016, 66(6), 1-12] are generalized. Some

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Rational B\'ezier Curves Approximated by Bernstein-Jacobi Hybrid Polynomial Curves

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we propose a linear method for $C^{(r,s)}$ approximation of rational B\'{e}zier curve with arbitrary degree polynomial curve. Based on weighted least-squares, the problem be converted to an approximation between two polynomial curves. Then

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

A study on degree of approximation by Karamata summability method

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2011
Vuĉkoviĉ [Maths. Zeitchr. 89, 192 (1965)] and Kathal [Riv. Math. Univ. Parma, Italy 10, 33-38 (1969)] have studied summability of Fourier series by Karamata (K λ ) summability method.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

The best uniform quadratic approximation of circular arcs with high accuracy

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2016
In this article, the issue of the best uniform approximation of circular arcs with parametrically defined polynomial curves is considered. The best uniform approximation of degree 2 to a circular arc is given in explicit form.

Bounded Degree Approximations of Stochastic Networks

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
We propose algorithms to approximate directed information graphs. Directed information graphs are probabilistic graphical models that depict causal dependencies between stochastic processes in a network. The proposed algorithms identify optimal and near-optimal approximations in terms of Kullback-Leibler divergence.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
