Degree of conversion and permeability of dental adhesives
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 2005The aim of this study was to analyse the extent of polymerization of different adhesive films in relation to their permeability. One adhesive of each class was investigated: OptiBond FL; One‐Step; Clearfil Protect Bond; and Xeno III. Adhesive films were prepared and cured with XL‐2500 (3M ESPE) for 20, 40 or 60 s.

Degree of Conversion of Composite Resin: A Raman Study
Journal of Clinical Laser Medicine & Surgery, 2003Near infrared Raman spectroscopy (RS) was used to monitor, in vitro, the degree of conversion (DC) of composite resins (Z100, 3M), photoactivated by both the halogen lamp and the argon laser beam.Several methods were used to study the alterations of composite resins. Vibration methods such as RS allow a precise assessment of the depth of polymerization

The degree of conversion (DC) can be defined as the extent to which monomers react to form polymers or as the ratio of C=C double bonds that are converted into C-C single bonds. In the polymerization of bifunctional methacrylates, the complete conversion is never attainable because diffusional restrictions in later stages of the polymerization reaction

Analysis of transmittance and degree of conversion of composite resins
Microscopy Research and Technique, 2019The objective of this study was to evaluate and correlate light transmittance (T), initial degree of conversion (IDC), and degree of conversion after 24 hr (DC24) for 22 composite resins (CR) for enamel and dentin use. The transmittance (n = 10) was measured with a spectrometer at a wavelength of 468.14 nm.

Examination of conversion degree of composite insulating materials
2007 Annual Report - Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2007Composite insulating materials have their important place in high-voltage insulating technology. The quality and high reliability of electrical devices is much affected by the curing level of these materials. Curing level is quantified by so-called degree of conversion and there are several possibilities how to determine this degree in practice ...

Degree of conversion of seven visible light‐cured posterior composites
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1988SummaryThe infrared spectra of seven commercially available posterior composite resins were analysed by ratioing the C = C aliphatic peak to the C = C aromatic peak. The degree of conversion ranged from 43–5 to 73–8%. The result was similar to the range previously obtained from unfilled Bis‐GMA based resins and commercial anterior composites.

Degree of conversion of composites measured by DTA and FTIR
Dental Materials, 2001Differential thermal analysis (DTA) using a split fiber optic light source has been reported to be a convenient method of measuring the degree of conversion (DC) of light-activated composites. The purpose of this study was to compare the results by DTA and Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and evaluate the usefulness of the DTA ...

Gaze as a Function of Conversation and Degree of Love
The Journal of Psychology, 1976The possibility that Rubin's findings of greater mutual gazing between strong than weak lovers and between strangers could be attributed to the occurrence of more conversation in strong love conditions was tested. Ss were selected from an undergraduate population.
