Glass transition and degree of conversion of a light-cured orthodontic composite [PDF]
This study evaluated the glass transition temperature (Tg) and degree of conversion (DC) of a light-cured (Fill Magic) versus a chemically cured (Concise) orthodontic composite.Anelastic relaxation spectroscopy was used for the first time to determine the Tg of a dental composite, while the DC was evaluated by infrared spectroscopy.

Influence of curing rate on softening in ethanol, degree of conversion, and wear of resin composite [PDF]
PURPOSE: To investigate the effect of curing rate on softening in ethanol, degree of conversion, and wear of resin composites. METHOD: With a given energy density and for each of two different light-curing units (QTH or LED), the curing rate was reduced ...

Voice conversion for emotional speech: Rule-based synthesis with degree of emotion controllable in dimensional space [PDF]
This paper proposes a rule-based voice conversion system for emotion which is capable of converting neutral speech to emotional speech using dimensional space (arousal and valence) to control the degree of emotion on a continuous scale.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Influence of degree of conversion on the biocompatibility of different composites in vivo.
To evaluate the relationship between biocompatibility and degree of monomer conversion of composites used to bond brackets to enamel, porcelain, resin, or metal surfaces at different time intervals.Twenty-four male Wistar rats were used, divided into 4 groups (n = 6) as follows: group C (control, polyethylene), group TCC (Transbond Color Change), group
