Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Investigation of polymerization properties of 3D printable biocompatible polymers

open access: yesFogorvosi Szemle, 2019
The development of digital technology is more and more meaningful on the area of dentistry. There are many factors that influence the accuracy of 3D printing among others composition of polymers for printing, that determine the polymerization parameters ...

Slow regions percolate near glass transition

open access: yes, 2002
A nano-second scale in situ probe reveals that a bulk linear polymer undergoes a sharp phase transition as a function of the degree of conversion, as it nears the glass transition.

Particle orientation distribution in Y-Fe2O3magnetic tapes by Mössbauer and hysteresis loop measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
The particle orientation in several Y-Fe2O3magnetic tapes has been quantitatively evaluated by using the data of both Mössbauer and hysteresis loop measurements performed in the three orthogonal directions.

Degree of double bond conversion in light-cured composites

open access: yesDental Materials, 1987
The curing pattern of five commercial light-cured composites was investigated. Micro-ATR infrared spectroscopy was used to evaluate the degree of cure as a function of distance from the exposed surface and curing time. KHN measurements were also obtained for each depth to relate the hardness pattern to the degree of conversion.

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

Polymerization Efficiency of Glass-Ionomer and Resin Adhesives under Molar Bands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Objective: To determine the degree of cure of a light-cured resin-modified glass ionomer (RMGI) under molar bands compared with a light-cured resin and a dual-cured resin. Materials and Methods: The 3 cements used were Fuji Ortho LC, Eagle Spectrum resin,

Financial Burden Associated With Hospitalisation Among Families of Childhood Brain Tumours in Australia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

Polymerization Shrinkage, Shrinkage Stress, and Degree of Conversion in Bulk-Fill Resin Composites After Different Photo-Activation Methods

open access: yesDental Hypotheses, 2020
Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of photo-activation methods on the shrinkage behavior of bulk-fill resin composites. Materials and Methods: Three bulk-fill resin composites (Tetric N-Ceram bulk-fill, Xtra fill, and Filtek ...
