CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Degree theory for 4-dimensional asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons

open access: yes, 2023
We develop a new degree theory for 4-dimensional, asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons. Our theory implies the existence of gradient expanding solitons that are asymptotic to any given cone over $S^3$ with non-negative scalar curvature.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Edge Degree Weight of Sequential Join of Graphs

open access: yesScience Journal of University of Zakho, 2013
Let the weight w of an edge e= uv={u,v} of a graph G be defined by w(e)=deg(u)+deg(v)-2 and the weight of G be defined by w(G)= ∑ e ∈ E(G)w(e), where E(G) is the edge set of G.

Understanding Australian pharmacy degree holders’ job preferences through the lens of motivation-hygiene theory

open access: yes
Increasing the contribution of pharmacists to primary care has been long discussed, particularly in the context of health workforce shortages and the push to better integrate all providers across primary care.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Degree theory for the sum of VMO maps and maximal monotone maps

open access: yesCubo, 2011
Let be an open bounded domain, a VMO map, and T : D(T) a maximal monotone map wit . We construct a degree for the sum of f + T, which can be viewed as a generalization of the degree both for VMO maps and maximal monotone maps.Sea un dominio abierto, un ...

Infinite-dimensional degree theory and stochastic analysis

open access: yes, 2010
The main aim of this paper is to describe how stochastic analysis is applied to infinite-dimensional degree theory for measurable maps of Banach spaces and Fredholm maps between Banach manifolds.
