Involvement of SRC-3 in deguelin-induced apoptosis in Jurkat cells

International Journal of Hematology, 2009
The aim of the study was to investigate the anticancer effects and the molecular mechanisms of deguelin on Jurkat cells. Cell viability was assessed by MTT assay. Terminal deoxynucleotide transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) assay and transmission electron microscopy were used to detect cell apoptosis.

Total synthesis of (−)-deguelin via an iterative pyran-ring formation strategy

Chemical Communications, 2015
Asymmetric synthesis of (−)-deguelin has been accomplished via iterative pyran-ring formation of the O- and C-arylation precursor prepared by an anionic addition of a chromene unit to aryloxy alkyl aldehyde.

Deguelin inhibits the glioblastoma progression through suppressing CCL2/NFκB signaling pathway

Neuropharmacology
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common primary intracranial tumor with characteristics of high aggressiveness and poor prognosis. Deguelin, a component from the bark of Leguminosae Mundulea sericea (African plant), displays antiproliferative effects in some tumors, however, the inhibitory effect and mechanism of deguelin on GBM were still ...

Cancer chemopreventive activity mediated by deguelin, a naturally occurring rotenoid.

Cancer research, 1997
Deguelin, a natural product isolated from Mundulea sericea (Leguminosae), was shown previously to mediate strong inhibition of 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity in cell culture and to reduce the formation of preneoplastic lesions when mouse mammary glands were exposed to 7,12-dimethylbenz(a ...
