Super hygroscopic nanofibrous membrane-based moisture pump for solar-driven indoor dehumidification

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Desiccants are important for dehumidification, but application is hindered by limited hygroscopicity, recyclability, and energy efficiency. Here, the authors report a moisture pump comprised of an electrospun nanofibrous memebrane for solar-driven ...

A Versatile Setup for Determining Hydrogen and Oxygen Crossover of Electrolyzer Membranes and MEAs

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 98, Issue 1-2, Page 18-26, February 2026.
Hydrogen and oxygen crossover in PEM electrolyzers affects safety, efficiency and gas purity. We present an experimental setup to quantify crossover through membranes and polymers. It allows in‐situ tests on full cells with MEAs and measures gas permeation in wet or dry ionomers and other polymers.

Hygrothermal simulation-informed design of mesoporous desiccants for optimised energy efficiency of mixed mode air conditioning systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper describes an optimization technique using hygrothermal numerical modelling to determine an ideal and unknown isotherm in order to inform the design of optimised mesoporous desiccants. Their suitability for passive humidity buffering as well as

Theoretical and Experimental Study of Positive-Pressure Condensation Heat and Mass Transfer Processes in Bent-Tube Heat Exchangers

open access: yesBuildings
Condensation dehumidification is currently the mainstream means of dehumidification, and the idea is to precipitate moisture by cooling the air below the dew point temperature; however, this process requires the use of a chiller to provide a low ...
