Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

AbstractThe hepatitis D virus (HDV) is unique in animal virology. It has a circular RNA genome that is the smallest of human viruses, requires the HBsAg capsid of the hepatitis B virus to assembly into infectious virions, parasitizes the transcriptional machinery of the host by hijacking cellular RNA polymerases to replicate its RNA genome and is ...

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

H-vectors of simplicial complexes with Serre's conditions
We study $h$-vectors of simplicial complexes which satisfy Serre's condition ($S_r$). We say that a simplicial complex $\Delta$ satisfies Serre's condition ($S_r$) if $\tilde H_i(\lk_\Delta(F);K)=0$ for all faces $F \in \Delta$ and for all $i < \min \{r ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

A small category is called a delta if it is skeletal and the only endomorphisms are the identities. A small category \({\mathcal C}\) is \(R\)- hereditary if the functor category \((\text{Mod} R)^{\mathcal C}\) has global dimension at most one, where \(\text{Mod} R\) denotes the category of left \(R\)-modules, \(R\) is a ring with an identity.
