Stability and Dynamics of Three-mode Coupling in δ Scuti Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Recent observations of δ Scuti stars find evidence of nonlinear three-mode coupling in their oscillation spectra. There are two types of three-mode coupling likely to be important in δ Scuti stars: (i) direct coupling, in which two linearly unstable ...

A New Catalog of 100,000 Variable \emph{TESS} A-F Stars Reveals a Correlation Between $δ$ Scuti Pulsator Fraction and Stellar Rotation

open access: yes
δ Scuti variables are found at the intersection of the classical instability strip and the main sequence on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. With space-based photometry providing millions of light-curves of A-F type stars, we can now probe the occurrence rate of δ Scuti pulsations in detail.

Validating Gaia DR3 Pulsating Variable Classifications with TESS: Building Reliable δ Scuti and γ Doradus Stars Catalogs (In Progress)*

open access: yesResearch Notes of the AAS
Abstract Gaia DR3 revealed 748,058 pulsating variable stars of mixed DSCT∣GDOR∣SXPHE types. This project undertakes a comprehensive examination to validate and distinguish these stars using Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite data. Aiming for reliable catalogs of bona fide δ Scuti and γ Doradus stars, I have validated 1715 δ Scuti ...
