Nuclear demagnetization for ultra-low temperatures
Nuclear demagnetization is one of the most successful methods of cooling an appreciable amount of matter to the lowest temperatures. The principle of nuclear demagnetization is the same as that of the adiabatic demagnetization of a paramagnetic salt ...

Influence of photon angular momentum on ultrafast demagnetization in nickel [PDF]
The role of pump helicity in laser-induced demagnetization of nickel thin films is investigated by means of pump-probe time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect in the polar geometry.

Comparison of Simulation Methods for Angular Dependency when Modeling Demagnetization
Rare earth element free magnets, such as ferrites, are weaker than their more common alternatives and therefore more prone to demagnetization. Additionally, in permanent magnet electrical machines they are commonly tangentially magnetized and placed in a

A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.
