Lithium‐sulfur (Li‐S) batteries contain various NMR‐active nuclear isotopes, including 7Li, 6Li and 33S, which are sensitive to the different chemical reactions that occur during battery cycling. Herein, we use a combination of lithium and sulfur operando NMR spectroscopy to provide new insights at the molecular level, fundamental understanding being ...

For the first time, we reveal the distribution of ion demagnetization, electron demagnetization, and Hall effect around a reconnection X-line by using the spiral CT scan technique, which is a novel technique analogous to that in the hospital. This X-line

Degradable Magnetic Composites from Recycled NdFeB Magnets for Soft Actuation and Sensing
This work presents a degradable soft magnetic composite made from recycled NdFeB particles embedded in a gelatin‐based organogel. The material is processed into magnetic sensors and soft robotic components, which can later be dissolved in a green solvent to recover NdFeB magnetic particles.

Deformation of continental crust along a transform boundary, Coast Mountains, British Columbia [PDF]
New structural, paleomagnetic, and apatite (U-Th)/He results from the continental margin inboard of the Queen Charlotte fault (~54°N) delineate patterns of brittle faulting linked to transform development since ~50 Ma.

Permanent magnet putty (PMP) integrates high‐coercivity NdFeB particles with a dynamic polyborosiloxane–Ecoflex matrix, achieving rapid self‐healing (90% mechanical recovery in 10 s) and magnetic recovery within 20 min. With twice the sensitivity of commercial putties, PMP enables precise 5–30 N force detection and discrimination between pressing and ...

The demagnetization factor for randomly packed spheroidal particles
We investigate if the demagnetization factor for a randomly packed powder of magnetic spheroidal particles depend on the shape of the spheroidal particles and what the internal variation in magnetization is within such a powder.
