Mode Recognition and Fault Positioning of Permanent Magnet Demagnetization for PMSM

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
This paper proposes a demagnetization fault detection, mode recognition, magnetic pole positioning, and degree evaluation method for permanent magnet synchronous motors. First, the analytical model of the single-coil no-load back electromotive force (EMF)

Theory of Femtosecond Laser-Induced Demagnetization

open access: yes, 2014
Using ab initio calculations we computed the ultrafast demagnetization that can be achieved by Elliott-Yafet electron-phonon spin-flip scatterings in laser-excited ferromagnets.

Dynamic cantilever magnetometry of individual ferromagnetic nanotubes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this thesis, we focus on a particular aspect of nanotechnology, namely the understanding of magnetic states in nanometer-scale objects. Describing microscopic magnetization states and reversal is particularly important for the development of magnetic ...

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

On the demagnetizing energy and demagnetizing factor of a multidomain ferromagnetic cube

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1983
The equations Ed = ½NJ² + const for demagnetizing energy and Hd = −NJ for average internal demagnetizing field (J is magnetization; N is demagnetizing factor, assumed constant) are central to multidomain (MD) theories of thermoremanence (TRM) and hysteresis.

Low-temperature demagnetization and ice-pressure demagnetization in magnetite and haematite [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 1994
SUMMARY Low-temperature demagnetization (LTD) is confirmed as an effective method of removing soft (low coercivity) components of remanence in magnetite-bearing specimens by passing the magnetite through its low-temperature transition (?130 K). Haematite has its low-temperature transition at approximately 258 K.

Post-Demagnetization Performance Assessment for Interior Permanent Magnet AC Machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper assesses the post-demagnetization performance of interior permanent magnet (IPM) ac machines by employing the more accurate recoil line approach based on a 2-D transient finite-element analysis (FEA).
