Low‐copy nuclear genes were used to address the notoriously difficult phylogeny of Ephedra. Additionally, we explored the potential effect of putative paralogy, intra‐locus recombination, and chimeric sequences on phylogenetic estimation. ABSTRACT The evolutionary history of Ephedra L.

Diel and Artificial Light Effects on Nearshore Communities Revealed by eDNA Metabarcoding
Environmental DNA revealed rapid, taxon‐specific community reorganization across diel and artificial light conditions in a nearshore marine ecosystem. Distinct responses among trophic groups indicate that artificial light at night reshapes predator–prey interactions and community structure within 30 min of exposure.

Abstract Dystrophinopathies are caused by pathogenic variants in the DMD gene, resulting in partial (Becker) or complete loss (Duchenne) of dystrophin. Becker (BMD) and Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) are characterized by progressive muscle wasting, fatty replacement, fibrosis, and loss of function.

Integrated GWAS and transcriptomics in a Canadian waterhemp biotype reveal mesotrione resistance is polygenic and metabolically driven. Significant SNPs and 187 herbicide‐responsive genes point to enhanced redox homeostasis, glutathione‐linked detoxification, lipid/secondary metabolism, and oxidative stress responses. Resistance arises from coordinated,

Chemical Speciation Defines Archaeal Ammonia‐Oxidizer Distribution in Yellowstone Hot Springs
Abstract The hot springs of Yellowstone National Park (YNP) provide a natural laboratory for investigating the influence of chemical speciation and energy availability on the distribution of microbes. Among 133 inorganic chemotrophic energy supplies, total dissolved ammonia oxidation was consistently one of the highest across 63 YNP hot spring samples.
