Light Meets Nature: Cellulose Cluster as a Natural Photoantimicrobial Agent
Cellulose derivatives exhibit cluster‐triggered emission, generating singlet oxygen through long‐lived excitonic states without conventional chromophores. This work reveals strong photoantimicrobial activity against Gram‐positive bacteria, transforming cellulose from an inactive excipient into an effective photodynamic agent.

Schematic representation of the microfluidic platform with its advantages. Abstract A major challenge in pharmacology is the limited selectivity of therapeutic compounds toward specific tissues or cells. Drugs often distribute systemically before reaching the intended site of action, affecting nontarget cells and potentially reducing efficacy or ...

The authors investigated the effects of various glycan ligands for CLEC10A, a lectin receptor expressed on dendritic cells (DCs). Monocyte‐derived DCs were stimulated with glycan‐conjugated dendrimers in combination with the TLR1/2 ligand Pam3CysK4, and responses were investigated at the mRNA and protein level.
