Study of The Dynamical Behavior For Deuterons in Dense Plasma Focus

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
The motion of fast deuterons in most dense plasma focus devices  ( DPF ) , may be characterized that it has a complex nature in its paths and this phenomena by describing a through gyrating motion with arbitrary changes in magnitude and direction .

The effect of a gas type on the soft X-ray yield from a plasma focus

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics
Using the Lee code version (RADPFV5.15de), we carried out a series of numerical ‎experiments to find the parameters for the plasma focus and the soft X-ray yield for each of ‎nitrogen gas (molecular) and neon gas (atomic) within an appropriate ...

Quantitative Determination of Cellular-and Neurite Motility Speed in Dense Cell Cultures

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroinformatics, 2019
Mobility quantification of single cells and cellular processes in dense cultures is a challenge, because single cell tracking is impossible. We developed a software for cell structure segmentation and implemented 2 algorithms to measure motility speed ...

Dysregulated lipid metabolism links NAFLD to cardiovascular disease

open access: yesMolecular Metabolism, 2020
Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is rapidly becoming a global health problem. Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the most common cause of mortality in NAFLD patients.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Dense plasma focus - a literature review

open access: yes, 1975
The dense plasma focus (DPF) is a convenient source of short, intense neutron pulses, and dense, high temperature plasma. This review of the literature on the DPP indicates that its operation is still not understood, and attempts to show where the ...

Plasma patches inside the polar cap and auroral oval: the impact on the spaceborne GPS receiver

open access: yesJournal of Space Weather and Space Climate, 2019
In this study, we focus on plasma patches with very dense plasma in the southern hemisphere during the main phase of 2015 St. Patrick’s Day storm. With in situ electron densities exceeding 1.5 × 1012 m−3 at 450–500 km altitude, the patches cause strong ...

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.
