The density limit in strongly-shaped negative triangularity (NT) discharges is studied experimentally in the DIII-D tokamak. Record-high Greenwald fractions f G are obtained, using gas puff injection only, with values up to near 2, where f G is defined ...

Evolution of edge turbulence and shear flow approaching the density limit in L-mode plasmas on EAST
The evolution of edge turbulence and shear flow approaching the density limit in L-mode plasmas on EAST is investigated. The relative fluctuation, cross-correlation power spectral density (CPSD), wave-number spectra, skewness and kurtosis, along with the

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Correlation of the L-mode density limit with edge collisionality
The ‘density limit’ is one of the fundamental bounds on tokamak operating space, and is commonly estimated via the empirical Greenwald scaling. This limit has garnered renewed interest in recent years as it has become clear that ITER and many tokamak ...

Exact correlations in the Lieb-Liniger model and detailed balance out-of-equilibrium
We study the density-density correlation function of the 1D Lieb-Liniger model and obtain an exact expression for the small momentum limit of the static correlator in the thermodynamic limit.

Spectral density constraints on wireless communication
Environmental exposure to man-made electromagnetic field (EMF) has been rising as modern technologies have grown and changes in social behavior have generated more synthetic sources. For safety of human health, EMF levels need to be regulated.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...
