Introduction: Topical application of high concentrations of fluoride (agents for professional application) onto dental enamel surface induces mainly formation of alkali-soluble fluoride described as a calcium fluoride or calcium fluoride-like material (CaF2). It is believed that calcium fluoride act as a pH-controlled fluoride-releasing reservoir.
