The Bionic Interface: Considering the Material Mediated Electrical Stimulation of Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electrical stimulation directs stem cell fate in tissue engineering. Cellular responses are influenced by membrane properties, intrinsic cell state, material charge‐transport characteristics, and the applied electrical signal. Additionally, a material’s ability to inject, store, and redistribute charge further modulates these responses.

Fear and Loathing in american politics: A review essay

open access: yesRevista Internacional de Sociología
President Donald Trump’s standing in the polls actually improved in the immediate aftermath of multiple criminal indictments. This development illustrates the phenomenon of affective polarization: intense conflict and ill will across the party divide ...

DEPOLARIZATION AND DISTRIBUTIVE LAWS

open access: yes
Given a vector space with two multiplications, one commutative the other anticommutative, possibly connected by a distributive law, the depolarization principle allows to look at this triplet through a single nonassociative multiplication. This is the case of Poisson algebras.

Depolarization effects in the human eye

open access: yesVision Research, 2001
We have studied the effects of depolarization in the living human eye by using a spatially resolved Mueller-matrix polarimeter [Opt. Lett. 24 (1999) 64]. Results show that the degree of polarization for the central part of double-pass images is about 0.85 and 0.70 for 2 mm and 5 mm of pupil, respectively.

Transition of Néel‐Type and Bloch‐Néel Hybrid Skyrmion in a Metallic Multilayer Material System

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrated a framework for manipulating multiple skyrmion types in [Pt/Co/Cu]5 multilayers through bias‐driven thermal effects. Distinct Néel and hybrid skyrmion phases can be selectively stabilized, enabling binary encoding beyond chirality‐based schemes.

Neuronal Excitation Induces Tau Protein Dephosphorylation via Protein Phosphatase 1 Activation to Promote Its Binding with Stable Microtubules

open access: yesNeurology International
The tau protein is a microtubule-associated protein that promotes microtubule stabilization. The phosphorylation of the tau protein has been linked to its dissociation from microtubules.
