Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy in Bionanotechnology: Current Advances and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) enables the nanoscale mapping of electrostatic surface potentials. While widely applied in materials science, its use in biological systems remains emerging. This review presents recent advances in KPFM applied to biological samples and provides a critical perspective on current limitations and future directions for

Quantitative Analysis Ageing Status of Natural Ester-paper Insulation and Mineral Oil-paper Insulation by Polarization/Depolarization Current

open access: yes, 2012
Polarization and Depolarization Current (PDC) technique is an effective tool to assess the condition of oil-paper insulation system in power transformers. So far the PDC behaviors of mineral oil-paper insulation have been widely investigated.

Assessment of lidar depolarization uncertainty by means of a polarimetric lidar simulator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Lidar depolarization measurements distinguish between spherical and non-spherical aerosol particles based on the change of the polarization state between the emitted and received signal.

Direct measurement and optimization of the polarization-dependent modulation depth in super-resolution structured illumination microscopy

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences
Maintaining the s-polarization state of laser beams is important to achieve high modulation depth in a laser-interference-based super-resolution structured illumination microscope (SR-SIM).

Designable van der Waals Crystal for Artificial Neuronal Cell Mimicking

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Designable van der Waals crystal has been demonstrated for device‐scale neuronal cell mimicking. The structural similarity between ion‐channel in biological membranes and layered vdW lattices is realized with nano‐crystallization via Ar + H2S plasma sulfurization.

Assessing Ageing Condition of Mineral Oil-Paper Insulation by Polarization/Depolarization Current

open access: yes, 2011
Accurately assessing the ageing status of oil-paper insulation in transformer is essential and important. Polarization and Depolarization Current (PDC) technique is effective in assessing the condition of oil-paper insulation system.

RADOME ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Radar Dome, or usually called Radome, is usually placed over the antenna as an antenna protector from any physical thing that can break it. Ideally, radome does not degrade antenna performance.

Ferroelectric Dynamic‐Field‐Driven Nucleation and Growth Model for Predictive Materials‐To‐Circuit Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.
