Adaptive respiratory response of rat pancreatic acinar cells to mitochondrial membrane depolarization [PDF]

open access: yesThe Ukrainian Biochemical Journal, 2019
The dependence of uncoupled respiratory capacity of intact pancreatic acini on oxidative substrate supply and functional cell state has not yet been studied in detail.

Mechanical and Electrical Phenotype of hiPSC‐Cardiomyocytes on Fibronectin‐Based Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce fibronectin‐based PEG hydrogels with controlled rigidity to enable the culture of iPSC‐derived cardiomyocytes. These substrates offer an alternative to the current culture of these cells on fibronectin‐coated glass, providing enhanced structural and functional behavior. The system provides a more physiologically relevant platform to assess

Depolarization by high-aperture focusing

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2000
We introduce a method employing ferroelectric monomolecular layers, by which it is possible to measure the light field polarization in the focus of a lens. This method allowed us to noninvasively establish the perpendicularly oriented focal field that is anticipated at high apertures.

Soft Neural Interfaces for Circuit‐Level Analysis of Magnetogenetic Deep Brain Stimulation in Parkinson's Disease Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Magnetogenetic deep brain stimulation (MG‐DBS) represents a wireless neuromodulation that has demonstrated long‐lasting behavioral benefits in Parkinson's disease models. However, the circuit‐level mechanisms underlying these therapeutic effects have remained uncharacterized due to limitations of conventional neural interfaces.

Review of ferroelectric field‐effect transistors for three‐dimensional storage applications

open access: yesNano Select, 2021
The ferroelectric field‐effect transistor (FeFET) is one of the leading contenders to succeed charge‐trap‐based flash memory (CTF) devices in the current vertically‐integrated NAND flash storage market.

Depolarization-induced calcium entry is sufficient to induce functional sAC-generated cAMP

open access: yes, 2011
(A) Cyclic AMP was measured in INS-1E cells after incubation for 15 min in 2.5 mM glucose (white bars) or 2.5 mM glucose plus 60 mM KCl (gray bars) in the presence of 0.5 mM IBMX, with either vehicle control, 50 μM 2′5′ ddAdo, and/or 30 μM KH7.

A Data Driven Review of In Vitro Electrical and Mechanical Stimulation for Post‐Acute Phase Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...

Anoxic spreading depolarization in the neonatal rat cortex in vitro

open access: yes, 2023
International audienceAnoxic spreading depolarization (aSD) is a hallmark of ischemic injury in the cerebral cortex. In adults, aSD is associated with rapid and nearly complete neuronal depolarization and loss of neuronal functions.
