Dentofacial Characteristics in Patients With Epidermolysis Bullosa—A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a rare genetic disease characterized by skin and mucosal fragility caused by pathogenic variants in structural protein genes. Malocclusions have been previously described in patients with EB, mainly in case reports, with no cohort studies characterizing dentofacial characteristics across all EB types ...

Two‐Photon Fluorescence and Second‐Harmonic Generation Microscopy: Principles and Biomedical Applications

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, Volume 19, Issue 10, October 2026.
Compared with single‐photon methods, TPM enables deep‐tissue imaging using near‐infrared light, with excitation confined to the focal plane, thereby reducing photodamage. SHG microscopy images noncentrosymmetric biological structures such as collagen and myosin without fluorescent labels, offering direct structural contrast.

Evaluating the Impact of CYP1A2 Inhibition on the Pharmacokinetics of Savolitinib: A Phase 1 Open‐Label Study

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 14, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Savolitinib is an oral, potent, selective CNS‐penetrant MET‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor that in vitro studies indicate is metabolized by cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes, including CYP1A2, and by non‐CYP enzymes, such as aldehyde oxidase (AO). Savolitinib primary metabolites, M2 and M3, are formed mainly by CYP1A2 and AO, respectively. This Phase 1,

A Review of Robotic Surgery: Engineering Considerations and Future Directions From Surgeons' Perspectives

open access: yesThe International Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery, Volume 22, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Since its initial inception, robotic‐assisted minimally invasive surgery (RAMIS) is continually being applied to a wider array of procedures. However, there are significant limitations in current surgical subsystems, including a large learning curve, lack of effective haptic feedback, decreased surgical intuition, and decreased ...

A Prediction Model for the Differential Diagnosis of Bowen's Disease and Bowenoid Actinic Keratosis

open access: yesThe Journal of Dermatology, Volume 53, Issue 10, Page 1465-1473, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Bowen's disease and bowenoid actinic keratosis share overlapping clinical and histopathological features, and there is no clear consensus regarding their differential diagnosis. This study aimed to identify clinicopathological differences between the two diseases and to develop a diagnostic prediction model in a Korean population.
