Materials and Methods We performed a single-center, prospective, casecontrol study including 164 HCC patients and 422 controls between 02/2007 and 11/2008. The serum concentration of AFP and DCP, and the percentage of AFP-L3 were determined using the Wako LiBASys clinical auto-analyzer by a liquidphase binding assay.

Three electrophoretic techniques comparison for des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin detection.
Applied and theoretical electrophoresis : the official journal of the International Electrophoresis Society, 1993Des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP) is a marker that appears in the blood when modifications of vitamin K-dependent proteins carboxylation cycle occur. About 280 human plasma samples of diverse origins were tested by three different electrophoretic techniques for the evaluation of DCP: rocket immunoelectrophoresis (RIE) before and after barium carbonate

A new method to assay des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP) activity is described, using staphylocoagulase on undiluted citrated plasma after adsorption with bentonite (to remove fibrinogen), then with aluminium hydroxide. The thrombin-coagulase which is formed is measured by following the increase in optical density per minute of a chromogenic substrate.

Measurement of serum and tissue des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin in resectable hepatocellular carcinoma.
Anticancer research, 2008The total des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP) produced in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the surrounding non-cancer liver tissue was estimated and the correlation between tissue DCP and serum DCP levels was examined.Forty patients with a single primary HCC nodule served as the subjects.

Hepatosellüler karsinoma teşhisinde des-gamma carboxyprothrombin`in rolü
2020SUMMARY The Role of Des-Gamma Carboxyprothrombin in the Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Background/Aims. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major cause of death chronic parenkimal liver diseases. Therapies are rarely curative. This is in part due to the poor performance of available tumor markers leading to delay in diagnosis.

A new clotting method is described to assay des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP), using staphylocoagulase and adsorbed undiluted citrated plasma. The thrombin-coagulase formed was tested with a chromogenic substrate. The results were expressed in milliunits (m.u.). All 96 normal plasmas had less than 15 m.u. (mean 3.58 m.u.). Out of 56 non-hepatectomized

ABSTRACT Background and Aim Alpha‐fetoprotein (AFP) is widely used in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) surveillance, but its performance may vary with etiology and tumor stage. We assessed etiology‐specific AFP and des‐gamma‐carboxyprothrombin (DCP) positivity at HCC diagnosis, focusing on early ...

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the five most common cancers and the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. In this study, three monoclonal antibodies were developed for the early detection of HCC. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method is used to detect antigens causing HCC.
