Designing Communication Design
Innovating in the field of new media genres requires methods for producing designs that can succeed in being disseminated and used outside of design research labs. This article uses the author's experiences with the development of university courses in communication design to address the research question: How can we design courses to give students the

Design in Chile: Design as discipline [PDF]
Design in Chile, is developed from five points of view. Allard proposes a debate around the definitions and historical evolution of the term; Neira assumes the reality of the graphic design in Chile; Eyquem establishes a definition of design carried out from his own experience; Puga lightens us about the real possibilities of industry in the matter ...

Agile Behaviour Design: A Design Approach for Structuring Game Characters and Interactions [PDF]
In this paper, a novel design methodology-Agile Behaviour Design-is presented that accommodates the requirements for developing complex game agents suitable for industrial environments. An essential part of the design approach is to support independent work of both designers and programmers by reducing bottleneck situations.

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

The “who designed the designer?” objection to design arguments [PDF]
One of the most commonly-raised objections to the design argument is the so-called “who designed the designer?” objection, which charges that any designer invoked to explain complexity in the universe will feature complexity of its own, and thus require explanation in terms of design.

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six
